Project Spotlight

    Metro North Hollywood to Pasadena

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project

Metro is building a faster and more reliable bus service route with Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) between the San Fernando Valley and San Gabriel Valley. The new route will connect North Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, Eagle Rock, and Pasadena through a brand new 19-mile corridor. The project includes zero-emission electric buses that will run in dedicated bus lanes, provide all-door boarding, and pick up passengers at enhanced bus stations while connecting communities to jobs, education, and essential services.

The NoHo to Pasadena BRT Project also includes connections to the Metro A, B, and G Lines and is one of Metro’s priority projects to complete ahead of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, scheduled to open by December 2027.

Under a Program Management Support Service (PMSS) contract with Ramos Construction, AA manages community and construction relations in coordination with Metro staff and the contractor. Matt Evans is embedded with this project as its Construction Relations Manager and is equipped with a Metro email, badge, and laptop!

In July, a total of six community meetings took place over 12 days across the corridor, which gathered over 400 attendees. As the project nears 100% design, monthly briefings are increasingly active, with ongoing discussions involving Los Angeles City councilmembers and other elected officials.
