Public Engagement Support
The City of Pasadena will enhance mobility and safety with the delivery of significant multimodal infrastructure improvements funded by the Measure R Mobility Improvement Program. This will include three main projects— the Columbia Street Improvement Project, the Greenways Project, and the Pasadena Avenue and St. John Avenue Roadway Network Project— as well as three smaller traffic operation-focused projects.

Located in Pacoima, this project aims to improve traffic safety, reducing crashes, injuries, and fatalities. It will enhance pedestrian and cyclist connectivity for Pacoima and Lake View Terrace residents, linking them to the San Fernando Regional Bike Path, Hansen Dam Bike Path, and Glenoaks Boulevard's Class II Bike Lane. The project includes a lane reduction to accommodate 3.3 miles of raised Class IV cycle tracks, about 20 bicycle crossings with high-visibility crosswalks, and 22 bike ramps. Pedestrian improvements feature 10-foot sidewalks, two pedestrian-hybrid-beacon crossings, 38 ADA-compliant ramps, one right-turn slip-lane closure, three protected intersections, and approximately 334 pedestrian-level lighting fixtures.

RCTC
Design/Engineering for Mead Valley Station
RCTC, in partnership with Metrolink, is proposing the Mead Valley Metrolink Station/Mobility Hub Project to serve the 91/Perris Valley Line in unincorporated Mead Valley. The new station will enhance the transportation system by offering alternate travel options, reducing traffic congestion along the I-215 and Ramona Expressway, and minimizing environmental impacts by taking cars off the road. It also aims to support transit-oriented development and invest in resources that benefit disadvantaged and growing communities in Riverside County.
